Location: Worcester, MA

40 hours per week

Ensure the overall operations of the Food Pantry, and work together with other staff to keep the Food Pantry functioning at a high capacity.

Qualifications

  • Answer all calls related to the Food Pantry
  • Maintain all records according to the policies
  • Work with other departments regarding statistics, and referrals of clientele, etc.
  • Coordinate Volunteers that will help at the pantry
  • Responsible to schedule and obtain the food pickups
  • Make sure the Food Pantry is clean, neat and in order (organizing and stocking shelves, maintenance of refrigerators and freezers, sweep and mop floors, inspect and clean shelves everyday
  • Client intake and assessment prior to food distribution
  • Supply clients with information regarding other services within the community.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the position.

Requirements Include

  • Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or occasional continuous basis.
  • Grasp, push, pull objects such as reference materials, files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to load and to change settings, devices, fixtures, on various equipment used in and around an office environment
  • Operate telephone and other electronic communication devices.
  • Operate various other office equipment including personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanning equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Division via car, train, or airplane.
  • Ability to be creative, original, intuitive, and perceptive.
  • Ability to think logically and critically.
  • Ability to envision a project from beginning to end.
