Bailer/Sorting Room Worker

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Baler/Warehouse/Sorting Room for the Thrift Store located in Foley, Alabama.   About this opportunity: Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing.  Loads and unloads trucks performing lifting of heavy objects on a regular basis.  Assists in maintaining the neatness and orderliness of the warehouse or Sorting Room area.   Receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area and cleans breakroom and restrooms.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include: Ability to sort items in accordance with established categories. Ability to operate Forklift safely. Ability to work baling machine safely. What we are looking for in you: No formal education or experience required although some experience operating heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting is preferred.
