Plans, implements, supervises membersand evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting the programpriority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good CharacterandCitizenship.Mayoverseespecialprogramsand/orevents(i.e.Keystone,YouthoftheYear and Awards Programs), and/or participatein the implementation of other unit activitiesas necessary. In absence of the Program Coordinator;may provide supervision oversight to other Youth Development Professionals to ensure continuity of program services at unit/branch locations. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with all programmembers and their families in order tohelp advance the mission of The Salvation Army.

CreatesanenvironmentthatfacilitatestheachievementofYouthDevelopmentOutcomes:
Promotesandstimulatesprogramparticipation.
Assistswithregistrationofnewmembersandparticipatesintheircluborientationprocess.
Providesguidanceandrolemodelingtomembers.
ProgramDevelopmentandImplementation(70%)
Implementsandadministersprograms,servicesandactivitiesforprogrammembersinaneffectivemanner.May oversee special programs and services such as Youth of Year programs or Youth of the Month.
Monitorsandevaluatesprograms,services,andactivitiestoensuresafetyofmembers,qualityinprograms and appearance of the branch at all times.Prepare periodic activity reports.
Assistswithimplementationofoutreacheffortstosustainandincreaseprogrammembershipandprogram participation.
Facility&EquipmentManagement(10%)
Assistsin maintainingfacilityand equipment in good working order. Assistsinmaintainingallstorageareaskeepingthemorderlyandclean.
Reportsallrepairs,maintenance,andjanitorialneedstosupervisor.
AdditionalResponsibilities:
Mayparticipateinspecialprogramsand/orevents. Assistsin the conservation of all Salvation Armyresources.AbidesbyandenforceallSalvationArmypoliciesandprocedures.
BewillingtoassistinanywayaskedtofulfillthemissionofTheSalvationArmy.
May provide supervision oversight to other Youth Development Professionals in the absence of Program Coordinator.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED:
EducationandExperience:
HighSchoolDiplomaorG.E.D.
and
previousworkinrelatedfieldwithChildrenandYouthpreferred
and
CommitmenttoactivelyparticipateinaProfessionalDevelopmentPlanincludingLevelII&LevellIII Training which includes completion of 20 Credit Hours of program training.
Licenses&Certifications:
CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
PhysicalRequirements:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of First Aid and C.P.R and ability to ensure the safety of children.
Abilitytodealcomfortablywithstressfulsituationsandfollowemergencyprocedures.
