Location: Fort Myers Area Command, Fort Myers, FL
Position Type: Regular Full-Time
Pay Rate: $19.50/hour
About This Opportunity: Assists and supports the Director of Correction in the management, supervision and operations of Corrections Monitor assigned to Corrections; supports counselors and administration with maintaining resident accountability to provide custody, care and supervision of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates, develops and trains staff in proper methods and procedures; oversees work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy, completeness and completeness and compliance with established policies and procedures.
Creates and develops plans to evaluate the program to enhance Correction Monitor in applications to bring about a positive change in residents’ attitudes, behavior, and habit patterns through personal example and by encouraging residents to participate in worthwhile activities.
Creates and develops plan for scheduling 24-hour a day, seven days a week staffing patterns to ensure integrity, safety and security of the Corrections Department is maintained with efficiency with limited overtime use.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma or GED certificate AND
Two year experience of higher education, preferably in the area of Criminal Justice, and two years supervisory experience OR
Any equivalent training and/or work experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English Language.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, or the like.
