Lifeguard - PT (Indoor Pool) - 2 Openings - Broken Arrow Red Shield Youth Center

The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is looking for 3 Lifeguards (indoor Pool) for our Broken Arrow Red Shield Youth Center, located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.    Job Summary: Serve as lifeguard for all pool operations; provide constant surveillance of pool activities.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of life saving techniques and ability to perform them in emergency situations. Ability to supervise swimmers and provide constant surveillance of pool activities in order to ensure swimmer safety and to respond to emergency rescue when needed. Ability to enforce all swimming pool rules. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to swim and meet lifesaving requirements. Education and Experience: Must be at least 15 years of age. Complete the required training to be a certified lifeguard AND six months experience as a lifeguard OR any equivalent demonstration of training or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.   Certifications: Red Cross Certified Lifeguard   Physical Requirements:  Ability to meet attendance requirements.
