JOB TITLE: NURSERY WORKER
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Nursery Worker for the Orlando Area Command, located in Orlando, FL.
Position Type: Part-Time without benefits, $13.00 per hour
About this opportunity: Provides care for infants and toddlers in a nursery; changes babies' diapers and clothes and ensures their personal hygiene and safety; feeds and cleans babies; comforts and plays with babies. Knowledge of the principles and practices of good baby care. Ability to ensure the safety, health, and cleanliness of babies.
What we are looking for in you:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required, AND six months experience caring for babies in a nursery environment, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Approved background check required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and ensure their safety. Ability to lift, hold, and carry infants and toddlers on a continuous basis weighing up to 25 lbs. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a normal childcare environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
