REPORTS TO: BOYS & GIRLS CLUB EXECUTIVEDIRECTOR
LOCATION: HIGHPOINT, NC
FLSA STATUS: NON-EXEMPT
JOB SUMMARY:
Assists infacilitating and monitoring recreational activities of the Boys & GirlsClub; supervises and coaches sporting events; transports patrons to and fromthe Club; assists in maintaining the Club facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Opens/closesthe Club in compliance with established operating hours; ensures the center isproperly secured during non-operating hours.
Prepares andmaintains a schedule of Club activities in an accurate and timely manner.
Supervisespatrons visiting the Club and participating in programs; ensures that patron'sbehavior remains consistent with club rules and regulations.
Supervises andcoaches football, basketball, and baseball games; leads and motivates playersto exhibit good sportsmanship.
Transportspatrons to and from the Club; observes good driving habits at all times inorder to ensure the safety of patrons and The Salvation Army vehicles.
Assists inmaintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the Club facilities and grounds;maintains ball fields; mows and trims grass; trims trees and shrubs; rakes,loads, and hauls leaves and pine-straw.
Reports anyinjuries to the supervisory immediately and instructs the injured party tocomplete an incident report.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes andsubmits monthly statistics form in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs otherrelated work as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High schooldiploma or G.E.D.,
and
six monthsexperience coaching and supervising athletic events and experience maintaininggrounds,
or
any equivalentcombination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge,skills, and abilities.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid StateDrivers' License
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge ofthe standard rules and techniques of athletic sports such as baseball,basketball, and football.
Ability tobuild effective and positive relationships with people of all ages.
Ability tolead and motivate people participating in recreational activities.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Ability tomeet attendance requirements.
Ability toread, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability toperform various yard work including raking, loading, and hauling grass, leaves,pine straw, dirt, etc.
Ability tooperate yard maintenance equipment.
Duties areusually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on afrequent change basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work isperformed in a indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may bephysical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomfortsassociated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
