Job SummaryAids and assists the Corps Officers and other leaders in children’s programming in the church and afterschool settings. Responsible for nursery to elementary age children during programming and events. Helps with food donation pick up for corps programs. Schedule: 10 hours per week, Sunday and Thursday Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of effective education tools and techniques for small children.Ability to instruct, lead and motivate children in educational environments.Demonstration of control in situations involving children of nursery age. Education and ExperienceExperience in working with children in church program areas. any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to meet attendance requirements.Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.Moderate to high mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Weekly responsibilities also include potential lifting of heavy boxes.
