What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker/Truck Driver position at The Salvation Army USA Western Territory?
OVERVIEW:
To assist in the delivery of food products to program distribution sites and picking up food donations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive program vehicles to donation pick-ups, food deliveries, errands, etc.
- Assist with the assembly of food sites and donation pick-ups
- Manual loading and unloading of trucks
- Responsible for the return of paperwork from food sites and donation pick-ups
- Ensure that truck mileage logs are filled out
- Responsible for fueling vehicles at the end of a shift
- Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CA driver's license (required)
- Experience in operating a forklift
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Team player
- Ability to work independently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (usually file boxes)
EQUIPMENT USED:
- Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software
- Operating a pallet jack, electric pallet jack, hand truck forklift
