About this Opportunity :
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is seeking a Camp Music Conservatory Music and Arts Instructor for the Arkansas and Oklahoma Conservatory of Music and Arts, located in Welling, OK.
This is a summer position at Camp Heart O’ Hills. The job summary outlines the essential functions and requirements but is not all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned as needed.
The Music and Arts Instructor will teach or assist classes within their area of expertise, which may include brass band, percussion, guitar, praise band, dance, theater, piano, or visual arts. All students also participate in chorus. The instructor is responsible for fostering a safe, engaging learning environment to promote personal, artistic, and spiritual growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Classroom Instruction and Private Lessons :
Assist Studio Coordinators, Senior Music Instructors, and Conservatory Directors in teaching majors or minors within your discipline.
Participate in staff meetings, Bible studies, worship services, night programs, and Evensong.
Develop lesson plans, grade assignments, and monitor student progress.
Ensure proper behavior, discipline, and safety among students.
Maintain an up-to-date incident report log and report issues to the Conservatory Director.

Additional Information :
Camp Staff Orientation will be held 06 / 11 / 2025 – 06 / 15 / 2025 and participation is required.
The 2025 summer camp program will be held 6 / 16 / 2025 – 07 / 20 / 2025. If you are unable to work the entire session, please let us know on your application.
