The Senior Volunteer Director is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the volunteer programs. The Senior Volunteer Director collaborates with staff and leadership to align volunteer efforts with organizational goals and needs, builds and maintains relationships with community partners, and ensures compliance with all policies and best practices related to volunteer management. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and evaluate volunteer programs to meet organizational objectives.

Recruit, screen, train, and retain volunteers, ensuring alignment with the nonprofit's mission and values.

Manage volunteer coordination and scheduling to ensure smooth operations across various programs.

Foster strong relationships with community partners, donors, and other stakeholders by attending community events and speaking engagements.

Provide ongoing support, recognition, and feedback to volunteers to maintain high levels of engagement and satisfaction.

Collaborate with other departments to integrate volunteer efforts into broader organizational goals.

Assist with special events and fundraising efforts.

Monitor and report on volunteer program outcomes, including impact, challenges, and areas for growth.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and best practice standards for volunteer management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervisor of the volunteer department, including the Community Impact Manager, Volunteer Coordinator, and Donations Manager.
Required Education/Experience:

5 years of experience in volunteer management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Proven leadership and team management experience.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire volunteers, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.

Experience with volunteer tracking software or databases, such as Salesforce.
