The Sanctuary Hotel is an award-winning boutique hotel strategically located in New York City’s famous Midtown and Theater District. The hotel is an oasis of elegance and luxury and boasts 4 restaurants including a private dining room and 2 rooftop restaurants, sushi and American cuisine.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to join our team. As General Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and overseeing financial performance. You will manage the hotel’s procedures and guide employees to ensure they are well-coordinated and productive. You will collaborate with the front office, revenue director, sales team, food and beverage, and other department heads to ensure that hotel operations are running smoothly.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage hotel staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure exceptional guest service by providing leadership, guidance, and support to staff.
- Manage budgets and financial performance, including revenue management and expense control.
- Create and implement policies and procedures to maintain quality standards and guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of hotel facilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel management in New York City
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
