THE SANNEH FOUNDATION – The Sanneh Foundation is looking for a Director of Human Development (Workforce Programming) who can formulate, design, promote, coordinate, direct, and operate Sanneh Foundation Workforce programming.

 

The Sanneh Foundation (Sanneh) is a Saint Paul, Minnesota based 501(c) (3) created to serve the holistic youth development needs of the increasingly diverse Twin Cities metro.

JOB OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Director of Human Development, we are looking for a dynamic individual who will formulate, implement, and review short and long-term Workforce Development programming at the Sanneh Foundation. These activities and strategies must align with the Strategic priorities of the Foundation.  

 

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Human Development

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • ●        Works with Director to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate high quality, sustainable, growth-oriented workforce programs.
  • ●        Assist in organization-level coordination efforts in the development, implementation, and reporting of workforce/skills development for internal stakeholder (Sanneh employees) and external stakeholders (community and youth) that the Foundation serves.
  • ●         Participate in internal and external committees, as assigned, to advance the Human Development program and interchange ideas with peers and other service providers and agencies.
  • ●        Manage and oversee the operational aspects of workforce and skills development phases at Sanneh, and ensure the tracking of the terms of delivery via Apricot 360. 
  • ●        Supervise Human Development youth participants. 
  • ●        Assist in hires, supports, and supervises workforce staff.
  • ●        Manage Human Development programs and activities such as, schedules and curriculum.
  • ●        Facilitates meetings and community events for stakeholder groups and programs.
  • ●        Track and report program performance data and outcomes for the purpose of reporting to funders and obtaining grants for the program including compliance with the grantor’s criteria. 
  • ●        Collaborate with team members in the systematic review and evaluation of the Workforce programs. 
  • ●        Monitor the outcomes and any plans of action for improvement and assessments as needed.  
  • ●        Uses interpersonal skills and makes sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed between team members.
  • ●        Promotes positive morale and teamwork within the department and provides exceptional customer service to Sanneh internal and external stakeholders. 
  • ●        Assist the Director of Human Development to identify new funding streams to create and sustain workforce programs.
  • ●        Collaborate with marketing on any strategies to expand brand awareness of the programs. 
  • ●        Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING HOURS 

  • ●        This is not a remote position.
  • ●        Working hours may include some evenings or weekends and special events. 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • ●        Demonstrated excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently with little direction. 
  • ●        Demonstrated organizational skills in handling, directing, and prioritizing multiple and complex assignments/ projects and maintaining records. 
  • ●        Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with the Sanneh Foundation internal and external stakeholders as well as funders.
  • ●        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; and effectively present information to top management, public groups, and other groups. 
  • ●        Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies, funders, or members of the business community and Sanneh partners.
  • ●        Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a customer service focus. 
  • ●        Ability to perform and excel in a high-tech all-digital environment. 
  • ●        High level of energy and good sense of humor with the capacity for extraordinary time and effort demands. 
  • ●        Ability to handle sensitive and extensive confidential data. 
  • ●        Problem solving skills and the ability to lead, instruct, handle a large variety of details and to work with all levels of organization. 
  • ●        Proficient in the use of e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software and use of the Internet to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and communicate with others. 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

  • ●        Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing and implementing workforce programs including:
  • Design
  • Implementation
  • Partnership Development
  • Reporting
  • Evaluation
  • Experience in building partnerships with internal and external constituents in a diverse community.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • ●        Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, Human Development, Education, or related fields. 
  • ●        Experience working in a non-profit community based organization sector.
  • ●        Apricot 360 experience
