What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist, Talent Sourcing position at The School District of Lee County?
We are hiring a Specialist, Talent Sourcing who will identify and engage top talent for the District! This role will utilize sourcing techniques and channels to proactively identify potential candidates, build talent pipelines and ensure a steady stream of qualified candidates for our current and future hiring needs. This position leads a healthy workforce culture focused on creating an environment where each student achieves his/her highest personal potential.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree
- Two (2) years of talent acquisition or human resources experience
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Myers, FL
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Three (3) years of talent acquisition experience
- Certification in Sourcing and/or Recruitment.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications
Your Responsibilities
- Research and recommend innovative sourcing techniques, tools, and platforms to attract top talent.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices for sourcing talent.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including online sourcing, social media, networking, and referrals to identify potential candidates.
- Engage with passive candidates and build relationships to encourage their interest in current or future opportunities.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for various positions within the District.
- Regularly update candidate databases and applicant tracking systems with relevant information.
- Work closely with Talent Coordinators, Recruiter and hiring managers across the District.
- Provide regular updates on sourcing activities, candidate pipelines, and market insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the sourcing process.
- Plan and execute job fairs, networking events, workshops, and other activities to connect job seekers with potential opportunities. Coordinate logistics, invite participants, and facilitate meaningful interactions with job seekers.
- Attend both virtual and in-person career events
- Continue communication with candidates following career events, networking opportunities and applications
- Manage the District’s Handshake account including job posting, sourcing and career events
- Conduct target sourcing utilizing really, Handshake, LinkedIn, past events and niche job boards
- Assist with planning and participation of the District’s social media and talent branding presence
