Position Summary 

This is a full-time hybrid management position with day-to-day duties that include hands-on service provision as an esthetician/waxer in addition to management duties. 

Work Schedule 

  • Minimum 35 hours per week
  • 5 in-house work days (a mix of wax and office days)
  • Open availability Tuesdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for management meetings and/or office time

Essential Duties & Major Responsibilities 

  • Complete waxer duties with full comprehension 
  • Provide excellent service to all clients
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train waxers 
  • Maintain waxer schedules and monitor attendance 
  • Evaluate waxer performance and mentor/retrain as needed 
  • Process service-related complaints in an appropriate timely manner
  • Coordinate and execute disciplinary plans/procedures for staff as necessary 
  • Submit KPI, expense, and payroll reports on time on a weekly and/or monthly basis
  • Lead your team by brainstorming and implementing specials, sales, programs, and incentives to increase sales and performance
  • Coordinate team bonding events and find ways to recognize outstanding employee performance 
  • Manage and maintain wax rooms, break room, and all equipment
  • Order, receive, transfer, and audit backbar supplies properly and according to budget. 
  • Partner with Front House Supervisor counterpart to maintain company expectations 
  • Assist with and/or delegate other duties as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • State of Colorado Esthetician or Cosmetologist license – must be active at time of application
  • Bloodborne Pathogen Training (may be provided during training if necessary) 
  • Barbicide Certification (may be provided during training if necessary) 

Experience

  • 2 years of experience in a waxing/esthetician role required
  • 1 years of previous management experience or leadership equivalent preferred 
  • Additional training provided

  • Comfortability performing and training all body and facial waxing services offered by TSP

  • Self-starter with attention to detail and a desire for excellence

Supervisory Expectations

Directly supervises one or more employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Independence of Action

Results are defined; the incumbent sets own goals and determines how to accomplish results with few or no guidelines to follow. Although precedents may exist, the supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • The work environment is a typical waxing and retail environment. The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, exposure to human body secretions, work in sensitive client situations, including staff, clients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
