Systems Enigneer Requirements
- IT Systems Management/Support or Systems Engineering experience – ideally installing and deploying network performance and management tools/systems including Blue Planet, Datadog, and/or CA Broadcom Suite
- Experience with Ciena Blue Planet - specifically UAA (Unified Assurance and Analytics) and RA (Resource Adapters) development or integration
- Working knowledge of SNMP and Event Management methodologies - Ability to clearly understand Event Management tools specifically Service Assurance replacement tools and understand best practices to improve Incident, Change, and Project Management processes
- Expertise deploying and managing tools running on cloud-based solutions (AWS ideally but open to GCP or Azure)
- Must have experience with projects requiring data migration, analysis, and management expertise
- Personality and communication skills fit for working with cross functional teams such as technical teams and functional business teams
- Engineering experience with similar performance and management tools such as: Dynatrace, Solar Winds, Net Scout, or App Dynamics
- Experience writing scripts for automation process and needs from the business to get systems to speak with one another
- Work as a member of the Fault and Performance Management Team responsible for support of Broadcom Service Management Tools (Spectrum DX, CA Performance Center, and CA Unified Infrastructure Manager)
- Assist with Broadcom replacement project focusing on Blue Planet - help define and execute data migration plans and improvement efforts for deployment processes
- Support assignment of key functionality within Blue Planet to FPM team members
- Provide technical guidance and support related to Blue Planet deployment and operations
- Work with members of the Green Network initiatives, which is a hybrid of internal network that also may have some external points of access
- Participate in projects associated with building and securing diverse Linux environments, production troubleshooting, performance optimization, automation, and documentation
- Focus on successfully meeting stringent compliance standards and deadlines
