The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment but still demonstrate graceful movement on the restaurant floor. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability of providing proactive service and anticipating guest need. Prior experience in a fine dining establishment is highly desired.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Exemplifies commitment to The Setai’s mission of Total Guest Satisfaction
- Consistently offers professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests
- Takes guests’ beverage orders, upsells when appropriate, prepares and serves beverages according to standard operating procedures
- Makes food and beverage recommendations when requested based on detailed knowledge of the food and beverage menus
- Prepares and maintains fresh bar fruits and condiments
- Ensures that bar area is cleaned after each guest leaves and properly set for each new guest
- Ensures that the bar storage area is kept clean and neat
- Continually communicates needed information to other departmental staff
- Verifies the check before presenting it to the guest(s), collects payment in an approved form
- Assists in monthly inventory of Bar
- Assists Mixologist in creating new drinks
- Attends daily briefings, meetings and training as required
- Reports to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in the correct uniform
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE : High School diploma or equivalent preferred; AND a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a bartender in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
