We are looking for a highly skilled Sushi Chef to join our outstanding culinary team. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for culinary arts and will have been formally trained at an accredited culinary institution. Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have an understanding of minimizing food costs through effective practices. A culinary skills demonstration may be required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Knowledge of Cooking Sushi Rice
- Proportions of Vinegar goes in Rice.
- Basic Knowledge of Nori
- Alternatives to Nori
- Knowledge of Omakase
- Identify Freshness of Seafood
- Knife Sharpening Skills
- Butchering Fish
- Knowledge of Tempura
- Know the basics of Sauces.
- Understanding Allergies
- Knowledge of Hygiene
- Serve safe Certified.
- Japanese Cuisine Experience
- Work well with Others.
