What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safe Shelter House Relief Staff position at The Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Center?
Part-time – Various overnight & weekend shifts available
Must pass a KBI Background Check
Shelter Relief Staff are responsible for providing support and community resource information to residents and crisis line callers while maintaining a safe, stable environment.
- Ensures the safety and security of program residents by monitoring activity in the house, performing safety checks of the building, and reporting all problems in a timely manner
- Keeps accurate and complete records of all activities
- Assists in maintaining a welcoming environment, (i.e. cleaning of shared use areas, cleaning the room to prepare for a new resident)
- Maintain the structure and policies of the program
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Take direction from full-time Advocates
- Participates in staff agency meetings and required trainings
- Provides supportive listening to residents
- Performs other duties as required
This is a part-time, non-exempt position
$13.37 per hour
