The Sharma Law Office is a North Florida based law firm that represents individuals, employers, investors, professionals and artists with regards to their U.S. Immigration law matters before USCIS, the Administrative Appeals Office, the Board of Immigration Appeals, or CBP/U.S. Consulates.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Immigration Paralegal located in Jacksonville, FL. The Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for assisting the Attorney in handling immigration issues, preparing legal documents and various visa applications for review. No telecommuting/work from home.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare employment-based nonimmigrant petitions including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2, and O-1
- Prepare PERM labor certifications, I-140 immigrant petitions, I-485 adjustment of status applications
- Draft family-based petitions (I-130, I-485), N-400 naturalizations, and related applications
- Print and organize exhibits for filings with USCIS, DOL, and NVC
- Maintain case tracking and internal calendaring for key deadlines and expirations
- Communicate with clients to collect documents and information, manage expectations, and follow up as needed
- Coordinate with attorney to ensure consistency and accuracy in filings
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an immigration paralegal, with hands-on experience in employment-based and family-based immigration
- Strong understanding of USCIS, DOL, and DOS processes and timelines
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with immigration case management software (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, or similar)
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred
