Summary:
Responsible for operating Taylor Large forklift and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials. The Forklift Driver will ensure efficiency and safety in the workplace while adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, move, and stack materials, products, and supplies within the warehouse or production facility.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and follow proper documentation procedures.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Follow all company safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow and operational needs.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification/license (or ability to obtain one).
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math and computer skills for inventory tracking.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
