Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Medication Auditing, Medication Reconciliation, ordering refills and ensuring the well-being of our residents. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care practices, particularly in senior care settings.
Duties:
- Maintain accurate medical documentation for each resident’s medication administration and health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold safety and hygiene standards within the facility.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Accurate auditing and reconciliation of medications.
- Ordering and maintaining refills properly and within the required time frame.
- Working with the Medication Coordinator to ensure all resident medications are documented properly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or medical offices is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively within a team environment.
- Certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent training is highly desirable.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
