Head of Housekeeping

Job Summary
The Skowhegan Hotel at The Spinning Mills Loft is brand new and looking to hire the best Head Housekeeper. We are a high end 20 room Hotel . This is a hands on position.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a hospitality environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that all areas are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for guests.

Duties

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Clean rooms and help out in the Laundry as needed.
• Manage and train housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to established protocols.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures for various areas including guest rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and other facilities.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order supplies as needed while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and enhance the overall guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong practices, hospitality cleaning techniques, and floor care maintenance.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Familiarity with hotel operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
