SUMMARY : The Business Developer works closely with the Sales Manager and Branch Manager to support the business development and client retention for the specified geographical region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Arranges and coordinate schedules and appointments with new customers.
  • Supports the team's efforts to generate and develop new business to meet specified production goals including but not limited to cold-calling and scheduling appointments; responsible for generating and developing new business in assigned areas.
  • Supports activities to maintain and nurture existing client relationships; responsible for specified existing clients in assigned areas.
  • Functions as liaison between client companies and operations staff.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly and / or quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager.
  • Organizes and maintains file system.
  • Participates in business / trade events that impact business u, e, e, envelops, and maintains thorough knowledge of the industry the y product information.
  • Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of local competition and of prevalent industry and business climate within the region.
  • Promotes company-endorsed programs and services within assigned territory.
  • Negotiates contracts and w agreements, as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in a related field or equivalent (preferred)
  • 3 years or more of related experience or equivalent.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and use a keyboard.

  • Continually required capability to work under mental pressure.
  • Continually vehicles used (daily)
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and / or move more than 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
