Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Engineer located at our SMART Innovation Lab in Akron, OH. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as mechanical engineering, machine design, computer-aided design (CAD), project management, and research and development (R&D) in the development of innovative tire technologies. Occasional travel for national and international trade show events are optional. Applicant must be based in the Greater Cleveland Ohio area (REQUIRED). Qualifications
6 years of working experience preferred
Mechanical Engineering, Prototyping, and Machine Design skills
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Experience in Project Management and Research and Development (R&D)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, individual, and teamwork abilities
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in the mobility, automotive, or aerospace industries is preferred
Experience within the tire manufacturing industry (engineering/development) is a plus
Experience with special materials, rubber, polymers, and/or metals is also a plus
Salary : $105,000 - $150,000
