The Haslam College of Business (HCB) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, invites applications for a Scholarship Coordinator (Full-time, Non-exempt) in the Financial Information Office (FIO). Reporting to the Partnerships and Scholarships Manager, this position is responsible for daily fiscal operations, specifically for restricted funds relating to student scholarships.
As our college functions with a central business office instead of having Business Managers in each unit, this position is critical to the college ensuring that scholarships are properly processed, executed according to donor criteria and gifts agreements, funded timely, and managed in compliance with relevant fiscal policies. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for scholarship-related queries. The Scholarship Coordinator also works closely with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure that scholarship applications, awards, modifications and payments are processed in a timely, efficient manner.
This role provides administrative coordination through the entirety of the scholarship awarding process, compliance review, and financial and administrative service to the HCB community for scholarship related functions. Additionally, this position continually looks for ways to strengthen internal processes through developing and administering trainings and identifying areas for process improvement.
The Scholarships Coordinator will have administrative operations expertise, increased accountability, and accomplishes work independently with foresight to escalate issues to the supervisor when appropriate.
