The Payroll and Provider Compensation Assistant is responsible for supporting payroll operations and the administration of healthcare provider compensation programs. This role involves processing payroll accurately and efficiently, and assisting with the analysis and distribution of provider compensation. The assistant plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate compensation for healthcare providers, as well as general payroll support for the organization. This is a hybrid role and will require on site work on Mondays and Tuesdays in Great Neck.
Salary Range: $65K - $75K
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for all employees
- Verify timekeeping records, and resolve payroll discrepancies as needed.
- Assist in report preparation for Finance/Accounting department
- Maintaining all payroll operation according to company policies and procedures
- Provider Compensation Support:
- Assist in the calculation and distribution of healthcare provider compensation, including base salary, bonuses, incentives, and other compensation-related payments.
- Help maintain and organize Jira ticketing system
- Send out timely communication and payroll templates to Regional and Office managers for upcoming provider pay cycles
- Data Entry and Record Management:
- Input and maintain accurate employee and provider compensation data in payroll and HR systems.
- Ensure payroll and compensation records are updated, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and management of payroll and provider compensation reports.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Support the preparation of reports related to payroll and provider compensation
- Assist with generating and distributing payroll reports, W-2s, and other related documents.
- Provider Contract Support:
- Assist with the processing of provider contracts and amendments, ensuring that compensation details are accurately reflected in payroll systems.
- Provide support in tracking provider agreements, compensation structures, and contract renewals.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and compensation teams to ensure consistency in payroll and compensation practices.
- Work with Regional and Office managers to address payroll and compensation-related inquiries from employees and providers.
- Ad-Hoc Support:
- Provide administrative support for special projects related to payroll and compensation, including bonus calculations, compensation analysis, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, human resources, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in payroll processing or compensation administration, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Basic understanding of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Trinet, Paycom, etc.) and compensation programs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data entry and report generation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive payroll and compensation information confidentially.
