The Project Manager supports client success by managing internal account operations, workflow and teams while simultaneously guiding clients on process, roadmapping and best practices. They are responsible for leading the delivery of social media deliverables on behalf of TSL clients, applying quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to develop insights on resourcing, budgets, risk mitigation and overall efficiency and effectiveness. As such, this is a client-facing role.
The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budgets for internal teams and external Clients. They assist in coordinating a dynamic team of individuals who constantly search for creative ways to elevate the presence of social to meet client business needs.
Essential Functions
Project Management Responsibilities
- Manage internal and external projects within assigned areas from inception to successful execution :
Define project objectives, scope, and level of effort
Develop project strategies and plans, and identify the methods and tools required for the project alongside agency and client SMEsGet projects off the ground, keep them on track and on budget, and resolve issues with customersMonitor progress against planEstablish workflow plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arrange for acquisition of project personnelManaging project time tracking tasking, monitoring, and reportingPrepare communications for management, client, and others, including project status reports, project time / budget reports, and other project-related documentsConfer with project personnel to provide advice and to resolve problemsPull hours and analyze scope completion against work delivery, help us stay on top of leading indicators within our scopes, own and elevate where reconciliation is neededCoordinate and respond to requests for changes from original scope specificationsConceptualize creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting / selling them vertically and horizontallyEnsure quality through quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control techniquesIdentify, analyze, and manage risks throughout project to maximize the results of positive events and minimize the consequences of adverse events on the projectProvide positive leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycleDemonstrate ability to lead and motivate talent and apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problemsStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels. Ability to operate effectively internally and externally and effectively help the agency navigate a matrixed organization and nuanced agency partner dynamicAbility to communicate needs and schedules to internal stakeholders and clients, as well as ensure that plans are in place and standards are adhered toMaintain a strong understanding of Client business objectives and industry trendsCollaboration and Presentation Responsibilities
Work alongside multi-disciplinary TSL teams to support delivery of social-first strategies and ideasCollaborate with cross-agency partners and effectively represent the needs of The Social Lights team as well as client interestsPresent strategic thinking and risk mitigation outputs to clients and internal partnersPeople Management Responsibilities
Support dynamic and varying project teams throughout the agency across a matrixed client structureOversee strengths and opportunities of teammates to ensure delivery outputReporting Structure
Reports to Director of DeliverySkills Knowledge and Expertise
3-5 years of progressive agency and business experience.Ideal candidate has 3 years in managing matrixed client organizations
