Reports to: Marketing Communications Manager
Principle Functions: The Contract/Part-Time Social Media Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing our mission by developing, implementing, and managing our social media strategy to increase awareness, engagement, and the number of patients served. This position requires a creative and strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and community engagement. Our target audience for our social media efforts is women 18 – 34.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in content creation and social media management.
- In-depth knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SnapChat, Pinterest, Instagram, Google , and other social media platforms.
- Experience with audience and buyer persona research.
- Familiarity with web design and publishing (not required but beneficial).
- Excellent multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a relevant field.
- Intermediate photo and videography skills.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, implement, and manage the organization's social media strategy to increase awareness and
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media campaigns.
- Create appealing content and graphics for our target demographic, collaborating with copywriters and designers when necessary.
- Create/obtain compelling video and photography of clinic staff, clients, volunteers, and others involved with The Source to help tell our story.
- Ensure all content aligns with the organization's mission and resonates with the target audience.
- Merge and optimize Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn platforms across Houston and Austin
- Establish a TikTok and SnapChat presence for the organization
- Develop strategy and plan to optimize YouTube
- Collaborate with and report to the Marketing & Communication Manager to align social media efforts with overall organizational goals
- Communicate with clinical staff as needed to stay informed of changes in services provided or other items helpful to communicate to potential patients.
