What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at The South Texas Food Bank?
The South Texas Food Bank is looking for a friendly and efficient candidate to fill the front desk receptionist position. Our receptionist is the first point of contact when people call or visit the food bank. Responsibilities for this position include providing administrative support throughout the organization, welcoming guests positively, and executing all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards.
Duties:
- Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
- Support volunteers by managing scheduling and providing basic info
- Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintaining a neat and presentable front desk area
- Other clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in an office setting
- Experience using a multi-line phone system
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using diverse office equipment (printers, fax, copy machines, etc)
- Strong organizational skills
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, as you will be dealing directly with all clients and visitors
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to multi-task is a must!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $12.30 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
