Overview
The Associate Director of Admissions, reporting to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid is an integral part of the admissions team, enabling The Spence School to fulfill the mission and goals for the School established by the Head of School and Trustees. The Associate Director is part of a team that welcomes, informs and guides prospective families through the admissions and enrollment process. They are a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a solutions-oriented mindset to both routine and unexpected challenges. A strong facility with data and comfort working with numbers are essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of a dynamic and high-performing admissions team, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency
- Communicate the unique value of a Spence education in nuanced and compelling ways
- Guide and support all prospective families seamlessly through the full admissions cycle from interest to enrollment, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience.
- Conduct admissions interviews, lead tours and evaluate applicant files holistically and contribute to thoughtful decision-making.
- Manage and analyze admissions data using admissions-related software.
- Leads planning, coordinating and executing admissions events including but not limited to: kindergarten playgroups, open houses, panels, spring tours and fairs
- Builds and nurtures strong, trust-based relationships with feeder schools through thoughtful communication, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Holds a Baccalaureate degree
- Possesses 3 years of admissions experience
- Thrives in both collaborative team environment and and independent work settings
- Demonstrates proficiency in Google Workspace
- Communicates effectively through strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Manages complex tasks with precision and care demonstrating strong organizational and technology proficiency
- Is proactive, resourceful and adaptable
- Maintains a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Upholds strict confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
