Employment : W2 Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Location : St. Augustine, FL Distribution Center (Distribution Center will be relocating to Palm Coast, FL).

At The Spice & Tea Exchange, it is our mission to " Create and share the experience of a more flavorful life" . The Warehouse Associate is an essential part of our distribution team, getting our products out to our customers and franchises. Your role will require you to ensure the freshest spices and teas are sent, inventory levels are maintained, and the warehouse and equipment are always ready for the next order.

Objective :

The Fulfillment Associate is an essential part of our distribution team, getting our products out to our customers and franchises. This role will require you to ensure the freshest spices and teas are sent, inventory levels are maintained, and the warehouse and equipment are always ready for the next order.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

Maintains specific perishable stock levels by rotating stock, pulling according to receiving dates and communicates the monitored levels to the inventory control analyst for reordering purposes.

Maintains prepackaged inventory levels of perishable products in Units of measure (UM) levels of 1lb., 2lb., 3lb., etc. to enable the filling of distribution orders in an accurate and efficient manner.

Uphold the general maintenance and cleanliness of the bagging machine to ensure accuracy and minimize cross contamination.

Assists in receiving inbound shipments verifying for accuracy and damages while performing quality control by inspecting all perishable products received for quality and consistency and promptly notifies appropriate party when an issue arises.

Assists in receiving and fulfilling distribution orders for accessories, spices, salts, sugars, blends, rice and tea to expedite orders and make certain an efficient, streamlined process.

Assists in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and the inventory according to the scheduled warehouse cleaning rotation.

Assists warehouse and production teams with additional tasks, when needed.

Knowledge and Job Requirements :

Basic computer knowledge and math skills.

Planning and organization skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Flexibility to work extended shifts.

Proven detail orientation.

Works well independently and in a team unit.

Ability to frequently climb ladders and stairs, perform overhead lifting, bending, and stooping.

Physical Requirements to perform the essential functions of this job :

Ability to utilize hands and fingers to perform tasks as necessary for job duties, which may include operating machinery, handling materials, or typing.

Capacity for visual acuity to monitor processes, examine materials, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Communicate in English utilizing both written and oral methods including the use of speech and hearing to communicate effectively with team members, clients, customers, and the ability to engage in verbal discussions and listen attentively.

Ability to perform various physical tasks that may require continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., and maneuvering within the workspace.

Operation of kitchen tools.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Ability to visually identify products and their characteristics.

Frequently climb ladders and stairs.

Consistently work around spices; must not be sensitive to various scents and aromas.
