Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Catering Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing catering events while ensuring high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills. Experience in event planning or hospitality management is preferred, but we are willing to train.
Duties
- Collaborate with clients to plan and execute events such as weddings, corporate functions, and private parties, ensuring all details (e.g., menu, decor, timeline) meet their expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction before, during, and after events.
- Manage the catering team, providing training and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring satisfaction throughout the event.
- Handle unexpected challenges during events with composure and quick decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Experience in management, preferably in hospitality, event planning, or a catering environment.
- Leadership and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Some knowledge of food and beverage operations, including basic understanding of catering logistics.
- Proficiency in scheduling software, Microsoft Office, or event management tools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (e.g., moving tables, chairs, or supplies).
Experience
- Experience in catering management or a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry is preferred, but willing to train.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning and executing events.
