Description
The Springs Resort is seeking a reliable and service-oriented Canteen Attendant to assist with the day-to-day operations of the canteen, ensuring an enjoyable and efficient experience for guests and staff. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked canteen while providing excellent customer service. Where You Can Make an Impact:
- Greet guests and staff warmly, assisting them with their selections and inquiries.
- Prepare and serve food, snacks, and beverages in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the canteen, including seating areas and food preparation spaces.
- Restock shelves, refrigerators, and displays to ensure items are readily available for guests.
- Operate cash registers or point-of-sale systems to process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in receiving and stocking supplies.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up displays and securing the canteen.
- Address guest or staff concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the food and beverage or hospitality team.
Requirements
Education/Formal Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or a hospitality setting preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive, approachable demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to operate a cash register or point-of-sale system accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
