Overview
We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the efficient management of a multiple residential apartment buildings in the vibrant Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC. The primary focus of the Residential Property Manager is to ensure exceptional resident relations, maximize occupancy rates, and oversee property building staff. Reporting directly to the Director of Residential Operations, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Administrative Oversight:
- Approval of invoices and supervision of staff, including marketing consultants.
- Management of communication logs and applications data entry.
- Submission of weekly leasing reports and regular market surveys.
- Maintenance of apartment availability reports and annual budget creation.
- Coordination of revenue projections and assistance with revenue management.
- Marketing property through various channels and conducting regular apartment inspections.
- Facilitation of lease signings and resident correspondence filing.
- Conducting move-in and move-out inspections and fair housing training for staff.
- Supervision of retail tenants and monthly financial reporting.
Maintenance Oversight:
- Conducting monthly and quarterly property inspections.
- Close collaboration with maintenance staff and senior management.
- Facilitation of resident service requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in either Arts or Sciences.
- 5-7 years of proven experience in residential property management.
- Regular participation in ongoing education initiatives.
- Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and One-Site.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and see through projects to completion.
- Aptitude for making informed decisions that impact both property and personnel.
- Commitment to maintaining consistent and punctual attendance.
- Exceptional teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
- Self-driven with the capacity to work independently and under minimal supervision.
- Openness to receiving and implementing directives effectively.
