What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master / Delivery Manager position at The Squires Group?
Overview
Our client is an award winning federal integrator, assisting various federal agencies in transforming how they deliver their HR Services. They have an immediate opening for a Client-facing Technical Scrum Master to oversee and drive software project deliveries. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, along with expertise in client relationship management. To be successfully, you will have experience facilitating Agile processes, managing client expectations, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality software solutions within scope.
This is a Hybrid role, with 2 days per week onsite in Washington, DC and/or Herndon, VA. Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens and be able to pass the client’s background check.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and fostering team collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Manage multiple enterprise-level projects, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery while maintaining client relationships and expectations.
- Hold a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification and leverage Agile metrics like burn-down charts and velocity tracking to monitor progress.
- Identify and resolve impediments, escalate issues as needed, and provide mentorship to support team self-organization.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and refine backlogs.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and within-scope delivery.
- Utilize application lifecycle management tools and document business processes effectively, including creating PowerPoint presentations for client communication.
Qualifications
- 5 years managing multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
- 5 years working with development teams on modern technology stacks and SaaS solutions.
- 5 years of experience with the software delivery lifecycle, integrating Agile methodologies into traditional project management structures.
- 4 years of client delivery experience
- 3 years implementing shared services for federal agencies and HR systems like PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, or other federal ERP systems.
- Must have a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification.
- Must have Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Compensation
- Competitive salary range of $115K-$155K, based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
