What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Specialist - CLEARANCE REQUIRED position at The Squires Group?
Overview
The Squires Group has an immediate opportunity for a CLEARED Security Specialist to work on a Federal project based in the Washington, DC area. In this role, you will support security efforts by defining requirements, building and testing security solutions, and documenting technical details in security plans. This hybrid role requires onsite presence in Washington, DC or Arlington, VA at least once per week.
Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE.
Responsibilities
- Guide the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using industry tools
- Write mitigation plans for security issues and create risk acceptance memos
- Share documents with stakeholders for approval
- Coordinate with external partners for secure data exchange
- Conduct internal security assessments and track security control progress
- Support audits such as ATO, financial, Zero Trust, and other client-related reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Exposure to and familiarity with the following:
- Cloud Infrastructure
- Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI)
- ServiceNow Platform
- Per our Federal Government Contract, candidates must be US Citizens with an ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE
Compensation
- W2 Hourly rate: $38-$42. Pay rates are based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications, and are subject to change at any time.
