Purpose of Position
We are looking for a professional and compassionate Receptionist to join our team at Riverchase Billing. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing essential administrative support to our staff while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. The anticipated hours are 8:00am-4:30pm working Monday-Friday.
Essential Functions
Greet and assist patients and visitors in a welcoming manner.
- Answer incoming calls and manage patient inquiries.
- Collect payments for services rendered, processing transactions accurately.
- Handle insurance verification and communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Prepare and distribute receipts for payments collected.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and filing.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure timely patient check-ins and smooth clinic operations
- Manage and process medical record requests from attorneys, liability companies, and other authorized entities while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements.
Marginal Functions

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have good attendance record.
- Skilled in maintaining a professional and effective working relationship with other personnel.
- Familiarity with administrative duties
- Attention to detail
Security Roles and Responsibilities
- Implement and act in accordance with the organization's information security policies;
- Protect assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference;
- Execute particular security processes or activities;
- Ensure responsibility is assigned to the individual for actions taken; and
- Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the InfoSec department.
Experience and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional computer training or certification will be an asset
- At least 1 year of clerical experience required.
A combination of experience and advanced education may be substituted. Background checks and drug test required.
