Description
Job Summary: The Retail Associate is responsible for greeting all customers in a friendly and courteous way, selling merchandise, maintaining a neat and tidy environment while also assisting customers with all questions and requests.
Job Responsibilities:
- Energetically welcome customers
- Operate the register and POS system.
- Upsell merchandise at appropriate times.
- Maintain a clean and organized store.
- Perform inventory.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and additional inquiries
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise
- Serves customers by assisting in selecting products.
- Drives sales through engagement of customers and suggestive selling.
- Directs customers by escorting them to their preferred products location.
- Manage financial transactions.
- Alerts management of potential security issues
- Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
- Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy are necessary to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Previous in-person customer experience preferred.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way.
- Ability to perform cash transactions correctly.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office operations
