Job Summary:

The Tennis Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all tennis-related facilities and equipment, ensuring a top-notch experience for guests and staff. Reporting directly to the Director of Tennis, you will oversee the repair, maintenance, and enhancement of tennis courts, including surfaces, nets, and surrounding infrastructure. This includes managing the functionality of lighting systems, court surfaces, and equipment used for both outdoor and indoor tennis play. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical systems specific to the tennis facilities, such as pumps, HVAC, and plumbing related to the tennis areas. You will also ensure the condition of other related components like furniture, flooring, and walls within the tennis venue. Collaboration with the broader facilities team may be required to maintain general property conditions, and you will assist junior technicians as needed to ensure high standards are consistently met.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Work independently while completing various maintenance tasks in guest rooms and hotel buildings including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, furniture assembly, etc. as needed. 
• Troubleshooting and repairs of mid-level plumbing, HVAC, painting, and sheet rock repair. 
• Assist in troubleshooting issues that require skilled maintenance repair or contractor repair. 
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance work for the assigned areas. 
• Update work order tickets and record in system according to company procedures. 
• Communicate with departments and other relevant parties for work orders. 
• Respond to work orders quickly and resolve timely. Conduct room care preventative maintenance as directed. 
• Possess thorough knowledge of all equipment in your department. 
• Thorough knowledge of all emergency equipment, their location, and their function including but not limited to valves, electrical equipment, etc. 
• Achieving and maintaining a quality guest room product according to hotel standards. 
• Maintain strict compliance of hotel's Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) program, including maintaining current MSDS. 
• Adhere to hotel work order system including prioritization. 
• Demonstrate teamwork responsiveness when asked to do any task consistent with hotel standards. 
• Observe all department rules, regulations, and dress code. 
• Monitor all services performed by outside contractors and vendors. 
• Maintaining the documentation of all daily logs, reading, and building inspection programs. 
• Ensure safety and security throughout the hotel. 
• Maintaining all exterior grounds, parking areas, and public access areas. 
• Directly assist the Facilities Tech I as needed. 
• All other duties assigned. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

• Sufficient education and literacy are necessary to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests.   
• Customer service experience is necessary.  All technicians must be able and willing to interact with guests. 
• Mechanical or technical experience in building maintenance is highly preferred. 
• Knowledge of computers and ability to process work tickets. 
• 2-4 years of building maintenance experience is required.

• Possess a strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and pumping systems.
• Possess strong plumbing knowledge.
• Must be very well versed in electrical applications and safety.
• Should have a working knowledge of appliances.
• Must have general maintenance experience with general paint and carpentry. 
• Must be able to multi-task with jobs, radio, and guests.
• Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions.
