Job Summary:
- To oversee and manage the daily operations of the tennis facilities, ensuring a high-quality experience for all members and guests. This includes supervising staff, maintaining the courts and equipment, organizing programs and events, and promoting tennis within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train tennis staff, including instructors, pro shop attendants, and maintenance personnel.
- Develop and implement tennis programs and events for players of all ages and skill levels.
- Manage court reservations and scheduling, ensuring efficient court utilization.
- Maintain the tennis courts and surrounding areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in optimal playing condition.
- Manage the pro shop inventory, including ordering merchandise, tracking sales, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Promote tennis within the community through outreach programs, partnerships, and marketing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to all members and guests, addressing their needs and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, and members regarding tennis operations and activities.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tennis instruction or related field
- Experience in supervising staff and managing operations
- Experience in developing and implementing tennis programs
- Experience in customer service and sales
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of tennis rules, techniques, and equipment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to supervise and motivate staff
- Ability to develop and implement tennis programs
- Ability to manage budgets and track expenses
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
