We are seeking a Speech Therapist for Outpatient Pediatrics and Acute Care to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients referred for Speech/Language Pathology services by a referring physician.
• Develop plans of care for patients after evaluation.
• Discuss treatment plans with patients and/or their guardians.
• Assist patients in achieving maximum performance and function in society while adapting to their disability.
• Participate in performance improvement activities within the department.
• Maintain personal competency and licensure.
• Provide information related to patient care and service needs.
• Work closely with the front desk for scheduling patient visits and ensuring insurance authorization.
• Maintain timely documentation and charges per department guidelines.
• Participate in infection control, safety, computer optimization, and educational programs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of speech pathology principles and practice.
• Familiarity with infection control, sterile technique, and its impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.
• 1-5 years of experience working as a speech/language pathologist, preferably in a rehabilitation setting.

Education

• Holds a master's degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.

Licensure and Certification

• Eligible for a certificate of clinical competence.
• Current State Licensure in speech pathology (as a Speech Pathologist) required.
• Current BLS certification.
