Production Manager

Job Responsibilities :

Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the seat assembly process. This includes working towards achieving continuous improvement in the areas of direct labor efficiency, first run capability, quality matrix and health and safety.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in a Manufacturing Operations Leadership role.
  • Knowledge in a variety of computer software applications
  • Significant Experience managing continuous improvement, product development, and industrialization projects highly preferred.
  • Six Sigma / Lean Certification preferred
  • Excellent systematic and problem solving skills, proficient in data analysis, and prior experience managing change, and implementation of new processes.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Other related duties as assigned and / or needed to meet production / operational expectations.
  • Safe and efficient operation of the production department.
  • Work closely with Shift Managers to provide guidance in dealing with routine personnel issues and disciplinary problems
  • Ensure Standards Work is documented, followed, and audited
  • Train and develop team members to enhance future potential.

    Job Responsibilities :

    Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production department. Working closely with supervisors to provide guidance in dealing with routine personnel issues and disciplinary problems. Ensuring that the principles of the Magna Employee Charter, the Corporate Constitution, and Magna Operating Principles are practiced, supported, and reinforced.

    Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years supervisory experience in a related manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications and knowledge of JIT communication devises and MRP systems.
  • Additional Essential Job Functions :

  • Maintain an excellent relationship with customer's staff to ensure delivery and quality issues are addressed.
  • Provide direction to supervisors and employees to ensure plant efficiency, quality, and safety goals are met per the objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure all documentation is followed up on in a timely fashion.
  • Perform any duties or take responsibility for other duties as instructed or needed to ensure production or operational success.

    Job Responsibilities :

    Responsible for the day-to-day supervision or production employees; maintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly workplace. Establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with employees. Encouraging workforce to be quality driven, and motivated to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.

    Qualifications :

  • An undergraduate degree in business related field or engineering with two years supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills with specific knowledge of personal computer applications such as spreadsheets and word processing; and knowledge of JIT communication devises and MRP systems.
  • Professional and Respectful communication skills, with ability to communicate with various levels of management and employees; and ability to deliver key information in a large group setting.
  • Additional Essential Job Functions :

  • Practice open, respectful, and honest dialogue with employees when administering the plant's policies and principals. Handling issues in a manner that will resolve them before they escalate. Practice principles that are fair, firm, and consistent. Take action only after all the facts are known.
  • Strive to improve first run capability by identifying issues and developing corrective action to eliminate the issues.
  • Be proactive and take responsibility as a change agent.
  • Work towards achieving continuous improvement goals established by management.
  • Take the lead in implementing successful job rotations that are developed by the safety / engineering team and approved by the management team.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned and / or needed.
