What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRODUCTION position at The Staffing People?
Production employees will operate machinery to cut, shape and assemble metal components according to blueprints and / or specifications within a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities :
Safely and correctly operate machinery. Utilize cutting tools, presses, grinders and lathes. Interpret technical drawings and specifications. Loading and unloading raw stock into machinery. Perform inspections on finished product to ensure specifications are correct. Setting up machinery. Making adjustments to the machinery. Wear all required protective gear at all times. Communicate with supervisors and other employees. All other duties as assigned.
Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Basic math skills. Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, squat and climb. Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Excellent time management skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to follow direction.
