The Stand - Assistant Chef

The Stand is a fast-casual dining restaurant with 20 locations across Orange County, Los Angeles, Santa Clara, and Houston Texas. As we continue to grow and open multiple locations, we are looking for highly skilled and motivated leaders to join our team.
Assistant Chef Responsibilities :
- Train and mentor kitchen team members
- Ensure meal segment efficiency and production
- Responsible for food purchasing and budgets
- Ensure consistency and portioning of all food products
- Monitor upkeep, repair, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Assistant Chef Required Skills :
Experience in salad, fry, grill, and expo stationsAbility to oversee daily prep listsDisplay high-functioning organizational skillsAbility to order according to budget / pars and ensure delivery receipt from vendorsProactive, punctual, and excellent communication skillsPositive attitude and ready for a challengeEssential Functions :
Run multiple kitchen stations, including salads, fry, grill, and expoEnsure adherence to build guides for every item on the menuMaintain a clean and sanitary kitchenBe a team player and demonstrate efficient communication skillsExemplify our mission and cultureFollow recipes and presentation specificationsOperate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficientlyClean and maintain stations by practicing good safety and sanitation proceduresWorking Conditions :
Frequent walking and standing for long periods of timeAbility to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedlyRepetitive bending, twisting, squatting, and reachingRepetitive use of hands, including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pullingOccasionally access high storage shelving with the use of a step ladderLift and carry up to 50 lbs.Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicalsExposure to varying temperatures, including steam, high kitchen temperatures, humidity, freezers, refrigerators, indoor air conditioning, and outdoor / patio conditionsSchedule :
