This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Bureau of Substance Use Treatment and Transition Services.
Salary: $61,800.18 Annual Rate
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The position reports directly to the Assistant Bureau Chief of the Transition Services Unit. This position is responsible for implementing, directing, coordinating, and administering the delivery of reentry initiatives within the Bureau of Substance Use Treatment and Transition Services.
- Assist in development of strategic plans, including, but not limited to, compiling, and effectively incorporating information, drafting of appropriate goals and objectives as directed, and evaluating alignment with the Department's reentry initiatives. Remain aware of new developments in reentry efforts in other areas and recommend updates and/or modifications to the strategic plan as appropriate. Assists with development and maintenance of program manuals and curriculum along with make recommendations on best practices.
- Assist the Statewide Re-Entry Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator in a variety of complex duties requiring independent judgement. Assist in the evaluation of data on current reentry program services and program which may include contact with faiclities, community corrections offices, and other program areas within the department and community.
- Assists with the monitoring of the bureaus grant awards and funding utilization. Assists with the development of contract scope and contract/program monitoring tools. Analyze data and makes recommendations to leadership for program development and revision. Participates in development of data reports in collaboration with other department sections.
- Assists with the review of current research on best practices in various reentry programs. Participates in the development of request for proposals, and other competitive solicitations in coordination with other department sections. Assists in the development of bureau legislative budget requests, legislative bill analysis and other special projects.
- Assists with development of program monitoring tools and conducts program monitoring to include onsite program monitorina of oroaram facilities to ensure overall quality of programs and standards compliance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience in training, program planning, program coordination, program research, instruction, administrative work, social services and/or related area.
- Corrections experience or corrections administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with correctional reentry or transition programs.
- Experience in program and/or contract monitoring.
