Personnel Technician III – 70900505

This advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in the Office of Human Resources – HR Administration.

Salary: $18.00 Hourly Rate

SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Aiding with departmental staff with activities related to the Department's performance management process.
• Answering internal/external inquiries from the Office of Human Resources multi-line phone and routing calls to appropriate office.
• Responding to personnel related inboxes.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and inputting into department databases.
• Drafting and preparing email correspondences and reports.
• Providing guidance and support to employees on department policies and procedures.
• Maintaining and handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Collecting and gathering information of collective bargaining grievances.
• Completing Re-Employment Claims and participating in hearings.
• Processing incoming/outgoing mail for the Office of Human Resources.
• Distributing bi-weekly pay checks.
• Completing employment verification requests.
• Providing backup support to unit staff.
• Performing other duties, as assigned.

You contribute 7.5% of your compensation to this tax deferred plan. All OPS employees are required to participate in this plan and are automatically enrolled.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of one to three (1 – 3) years of professional human resources, administrative or customer service experience. College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
