This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in the Office of Health Services – Mental Health.
Salary: $102,572.08 Annual Rate (Licensed Psychologist)
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
Please note: The above listed salary is not negotiable and requires an unrestricted Florida State Licensure as a Psychologist. This is a work from home position with 25% travel to Inpatient Mental Health Units.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The incumbent in this position is subject to the provisions of Chapter 60L-36 FAC, Chapter 490, F.S., Chapter 456 F.S., Chapter 120 F.S., 64B-19 F.A.C. and 60L-36, FAC, and is expected to provide monitoring and reporting on the delivery of mental health services for the Office of Health Services (OHS).
- The incumbent in this position is expected to become familiar with the Department’s policy and procedures germane to the delivery of mental health services; have a knowledge of the standards of care for persons with mental impairments; and establish and maintain effective working relationship with others.
- Reviews, monitors, and provides guidance on the delivery of mental health services at institutions to ensure compliance with the Department’s policies and procedures, OHS’s Bulletins, American Correctional Association (ACA) standards, and professional practice standards on an on-going basis.
- Reviews, monitors, and provides guidance on compliance with Corrective Action Plans (CAP) for deficiencies identified in departmental audits and surveys by the Correctional Medical Authority (CMA).
- Collects findings on contract mental health performance measures and provides standardized monitoring reports for all departmental audits, CMA surveys and CAPs and coordinates with interdisciplinary regional monitoring staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of monitoring reports.
Specialized Duties
- The Team Lead is responsible for:
- Initiating requests for information from the BRMT Data Manager, Psychological Services Director, and other staff as needed.
- Coordinating the site visit with Warden.
- Coordinating site visit with other team monitors.
- Conducting exit interviews with Institutional and CHCC staff after each site visit.
- Producing the final report.
- Presenting the final report to Institutional and CHCC staff via TEAMS.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Unrestricted Licensure under Florida Board 490 as a Psychologist.
- At least one (1) year experience as a mental health provider in a correctional setting or Residential Unit/Hospital.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience auditing charts in an electronic records system.
