Your Specific Responsibilities:

Assist with the planning, organizational activities, evaluation and prioritization of the public health programs such as drowning prevention and mobile dental. Examples: perform decision making for program coordination, scheduling, and more. Perform data analysis of programs to ensure they align with the departments mission and for program efficiency.


Assist staff with purchasing needs by providing consultation and advice as it relates to their program by researching products from approved vendors with purchases using My Florida Marketplace.


Provides support for the TRAIN system; running reports, advising employees of available trainings, and notifying employees of mandatory training requirements based on departmental needs and to ensure all employees have completed all mandatory training requirements. Works closely with the members of the Accreditation Taskforce to ensure any training needs have been completed and by appropriate staff.


Assist with local management of the state Cell Phone Verification System by submitting required forms to the state office in addition to ensuring staff and supervisors have submitted bills timely in the online cell phone verification system. Provide consultation and advice to staff as it relates to the online system.


Performs other related duties as assigned. Responds during emergencies and participates as part of the team to work assigned shelters or staff Emergency Operations Center.

Qualifications:

Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty

required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not

limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.


Minimum

  • Two years professional and proficient experience using Microsoft Office products, planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments
  • Valid State of Florida Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within a month
  • Ability to lift and/or move objects /- 25 pounds

Preferred

Two or more years of professional experience in a professional work setting routinely engaged in purchasing activities, creating and managing employee trainings, and maintaining inventory.

Two or more years of professional experience planning and organizing public health programs.
