MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma or its equivalent and four (4) years of experience in property or inventory control.
College education from an institution can substitute at a rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required experience.

Occasional to moderate travel required.
Position may respond to emergencies, including natural disasters or other type incidents requiring travel, as needed.

JOB DUTIES:
This position works independently performing administrative duties with a minimum amount of supervision. Researches and gathers data and prepares written reports; monitors and maintains records on district property; provides property controls through assignment of inventory numbers, locations and disposal of all assigned state and federal property; independently initiates audits and inventory checks to ensure proper property disposition; interprets policy and procedures. Monitors all federal excess screening and acquisition by district screeners to ensure that policy and procedures are followed.
Ensures that all accountable property is located, inventories properly identified and that acquisition, transfers and disposal of property is properly documented; coordinates periodic physical inventory both announced and unannounced; ensures proper documentation of property processed for transfer and disposal. Responsible for the assigning and displaying of all property numbers and tags with proper documentation of the value, age and condition. Supervises the work center documentation and upkeep of inventory records and upkeep of equipment and use.
Monitors all equipment and record keeping by performing audits, both announced and unannounced, checking for proper marking, records and location.
Assists the Center Administrators with administrative duties as needed.
Performs other related duties as required, which may include handling revenue.
